Women At The Table

Contrary to today’s Western culture, older women in the Bible were revered and sought after. This is the case in many other non-Western cultures as well. Statistics prove that the most productive decades in women’s lives are in their 50s and 60s, yet many shy away and withdraw at this time, no longer feeling wanted. The church and the world today are missing out on their wisdom and experience, whilst having more of a youth focus.

“Women at the Table” meet around tables over refreshments, often in small groups, and it is very inspirational and life-changing. We tackle our obstacles of midlife challenges, such as menopause, by providing education and support. We challenge ourselves by women in the Bible and by women in our Christian Heritage who have changed the world.

Paul and Isolde already treasure their Christian Heritage Centre volunteers, who primarily are older people full of grace, patience, faithfulness and wisdom. Sometimes, all that is needed is others seeing and appreciating one’s values to turbocharge them into actions, which becomes a blessing to everyone.

In April 2022, Isolde was inspired at a women’s conference to start up this group for older women, together with three other ladies: Kirsten, Dorota and Linda.
